Meandering along the Great Dividing Range from Crows Nest in the north to Highfields in the south, through the High Country Hamlets of Ravensbourne, Hampton, Cabarlah, Meringandan and Goombungee affords not only the opportunity to visit artists’ studios but also a chance to explore the area. Come for the day or, better still, stay for the weekend. Winter is a great time to visit cosy B&Bs, mountain retreats, motels, farm stays and caravan parks offering peaceful getaways, open fires and crisp country air.
