After attending the National Art School in Sydney where he studied under luminaries Jeffrey Smart, David Strachan and Jack Kilgour, Max worked in advertising. He left the city to work on stations where he developed an affinity with bush life, livestock, wildlife and the land. With a portfolio panning solo and joint exhibitions, Max has garnered acclaim, earning accolades and commissions along the way for his oil paintings.
