I was born in 1954 and grew up during the sixties and seventies so I guess I would be called a baby boomer! Being on a farm I grew to love nature and animals. I enjoyed art in school which ended at grade seven as there was no art during high school. After leaving school I was into writing poetry and I guess it saved my life during the years of growing up. In my thirties I dabbled with pastels and then got married and had my two sons. I was the art steward for the local show for many years and have now taken on the fine arts section at our local show once more. After retiring in 2017 I joined the Artists of Crows Nest and I have been into art at last. Workshops have taught me a great deal plus experimenting myself especially with mixed media which I love the adventure of. The unexpected surprise that takes you on a road into a different direction from what you started out going. That is the joy of art! I dabble it it all pastels, mixed media, acrylics drawing and oils.
